SUMMARY AND CONTEXT

The practice of sport and martial arts trains the cardio-respiratory system and various muscles.

  • It burns calories and therefore prevents obesity, which is a major cardiovascular risk factor (obesity prevention).
  •  It encourages to have a correct diet (diet of the athlete).

It facilitates the evacuation of nervous tension accumulated during the day (e.g. stress in humans).

  • It allows the discovery of the body and its limits.
  • It facilitates the acquisition of a sense of balance, either in planned situations (gymnastics exercises) or in unforeseen situations (ball games, combat sports).
  • It also allows the practitioner to build a work methodology that can be reused for other disciplines.
  • It is recommended to practice a medium intensity sport or simply to exercise for a period of time ranging from 50 min to 1h30 and if you want to have an effect on maintaining or reducing your weight, you must practice it at least three to four times a week.

Walking is the most common physical activity practiced by a very large number of adults and seniors.

A major Taiwanese study published in 2011 in the medical journal The Lancet, showed that moderate physical activity of 15 minutes per day or 90 minutes per week could reduce overall mortality by 14%, contributing to an increase in life expectancy of 3 years.

IT IS WITH THIS IN MIND THAT THE SPORTS ASSOCIATION OLYMPIA JU-JITSU AND MIXED MARTIAL ART ACADEMY WISHES TO CARRY OUT THIS PROJECT IN ORDER TO HELP THE POPULATION OF BAFOUSSAM AND EVEN THE WHOLE OF CAMEROON.
